CozyMind is a mood-tracking mobile application published by SND CAPITAL. This page describes, simply and without omission, what data the application processes, where that data lives and who can access it.

In short: CozyMind requires no account and operates no server. Everything you record in the application (moods, emotions, personal notes, first name, answers to the onboarding questionnaire) is stored only on your phone and is never transmitted to the publisher or to anyone else. The only data that leaves your device is subscription data (processed by Apple and RevenueCat under an anonymous identifier) and anonymous usage statistics (which actions are taken in the application, never what you write in it), hosted in Europe by PostHog. Finally, to measure how well its ads perform (on TikTok today), the application uses a measurement provider, Tenjin, which only receives its installation, its launches, the start of a free trial and subscription purchases. And if you write an idea in the application’s suggestion box, that message (and only that message) is emailed to us, without your name or email address.

1. No user account

CozyMind offers no sign-up, no login, and collects no email address or password. The publisher creates no personal identifier. The first name you may enter is used solely to personalise what is displayed, on your device.

2. Data stored on your phone (and nowhere else)

The following data is saved locally, in the application’s private storage space, and is never sent to a server:

Some of this information (moods, emotions, notes) touches on your mental well-being. That is precisely why it never leaves your device: the publisher has no access to it, neither technically nor commercially.

Like any iOS application data, it may be included in your phone’s encrypted backups (iCloud or computer) if you have enabled them; it is then protected by Apple’s mechanisms and remains inaccessible to the publisher.

3. Data that leaves the device: the subscription, anonymous statistics, ad measurement and your suggestion-box messages

If you take out the Premium subscription (or its free trial), the transaction is handled by two services:

If you only use the free version and never touch the subscription, only the technical initialisation of the RevenueCat SDK takes place, still under an anonymous identifier.

The application also measures how it is used with PostHog, a statistics tool hosted in Europe, under a random identifier: the actions taken in the application (for example “a check-in was recorded”), technical information (device model, system version, language) and, if you subscribe, the subscription events sent by RevenueCat (trial, purchase, renewal, cancellation). Your mood, your emotions, your notes and your first name are never transmitted, and your IP address is not stored. These statistics are used solely to improve the application. See PostHog’s privacy policy.

Finally, CozyMind promotes the application through ads, currently on TikTok. To know which ads bring in new users, the application includes the SDK of Tenjin, an ad measurement provider, which receives: the installation of the application and its launches, the start of a free trial and, sent directly by RevenueCat, subscription purchases and renewals (product, amount). These are sent along with technical information (device model, system version, an identifier specific to CozyMind on your phone, a Tenjin installation identifier) and your IP address. Tenjin uses them to attribute the installation to a campaign and passes that result on to the ad networks where CozyMind advertises (TikTok today). At first launch, iOS asks whether you allow CozyMind to “track your activity”: if you allow it, your device’s advertising identifier is included, which makes it possible to link the installation to the ad you saw; if you decline, it is not, and measurement relies on anonymous, aggregated data provided by Apple (SKAdNetwork). The application works exactly the same either way, and you can change your mind at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Your mood, your emotions, your notes and your first name are never sent to Tenjin or to any ad network, nor is any event related to your check-ins. Users who installed CozyMind before version 1.3.0 are not asked, and nothing is sent to Tenjin from their device. See Tenjin’s privacy policy and TikTok’s.

In the Profile tab, the “Help us improve CozyMind” row opens a suggestion box. Only if you write a message and tap “Send”, that text is sent through EmailJS, an email delivery service, to the publisher’s mailbox (support@cozymind.fr), together with the application’s language and version number. The message is anonymous: neither your first name, nor an email address, nor any identifier is attached, and nothing else from the application (check-ins, notes, moods) is sent. We therefore cannot reply; if you would like an answer, write to us directly (section 7). EmailJS does not keep the text in its history: it only delivers it. Please avoid writing information that could identify you. See EmailJS’s privacy policy.

4. What CozyMind does not do

5. Data retention

6. Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection over your personal data.

A particularity of CozyMind: since your personal data is stored only on your device, the publisher holds no copy and therefore cannot view, correct or erase it on your behalf. You exercise these rights directly: editing within the application, erasure by uninstalling. For subscription data processed by RevenueCat or Apple, for the statistics kept at PostHog for the events sent to Tenjin and for a message sent through the suggestion box (telling us its content and date, since it is anonymous), you can contact us and we will assist you with the process.

You may also lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or with your local data protection authority.

7. Publisher and contact

The CozyMind application is published by SND CAPITAL, a French single-shareholder simplified joint-stock company (SASU) with a share capital of €1,000, registered with the Annecy Trade and Companies Register (RCS) under number 992 930 743, whose registered office is at 4 avenue des Hirondelles, 74000 Annecy, France. SND CAPITAL is the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR, represented by its president, Edouard Sanad.

For any question about your data or this policy: support@cozymind.fr.

8. Changes to this policy

Should the way the application works change (for example, the addition of a new service), this page would be updated before the new version is released, and the date at the top of the page amended accordingly.
